Employee Role and Permissions
The employee's business role and the separate portal-access choices appropriate for their responsibilities.
Why LAWNSNOWAPP asks for it
Roles and access controls help each person reach the work they need without granting unnecessary administrative capability.
How LAWNSNOWAPP uses it
LAWNSNOWAPP stores the role and approved access settings and limits supported Owner, manager, crew, and customer workflows accordingly.
Example
Use Employee for a field worker and enable only the Crew Portal access needed for assigned work.
If you leave it blank
The existing or default Employee role applies; access still depends on the saved portal choices and account state.
If you change it later
Future access follows the revised settings; audit and completed-work history remain associated with the employee.
Financial, compliance, or safety note
Use the least access that supports the person's actual responsibilities and review changes promptly.
Common mistakes
- Granting Owner access for ordinary field work
- Assuming Crew Lead responsibility automatically grants administrative permissions
