Customer Tax Exemption
The Partner-confirmed tax-exemption designation and optional supporting reference associated with a customer.
Why LAWNSNOWAPP asks for it
A confirmed exemption can change whether otherwise taxable service lines receive sales or service tax.
How LAWNSNOWAPP uses it
LAWNSNOWAPP combines the saved designation and Partner confirmation with configured tax rules. It does not independently approve legal eligibility.
Example
Select the appropriate exemption type, confirm Partner responsibility, and record a certificate reference when available.
If you leave it blank
The customer is treated under the ordinary configured tax rules rather than as confirmed exempt.
If you change it later
New tax calculations use the revised confirmed designation; finalized invoice snapshots remain unchanged.
Financial, compliance, or safety note
LAWNSNOWAPP provides recordkeeping and calculation support, not tax or legal advice.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a customer type automatically proves exemption
- Marking an exemption without Partner confirmation or documentation review
