Service Tax Rate
The tax percentage associated with the applicable taxing jurisdiction.
Why LAWNSNOWAPP asks for it
LAWNSNOWAPP needs the rate to calculate tax separately from the service price and other fees.
How LAWNSNOWAPP uses it
The rate is applied to the taxable service amount when an invoice is calculated. The LAWNSNOWAPP platform fee remains separate and there is no tax-recovery slider.
Example
A 7.25% rate on a $100 taxable service produces $7.25 of service tax.
If you leave it blank
A manual-tax invoice cannot calculate this jurisdiction's tax until a valid rate or applicable fallback is configured.
If you change it later
New calculations use the updated rate. Finalized historical invoices retain their stored tax amounts.
Financial, compliance, or safety note
The company remains responsible for confirming rates, jurisdictions, filing, and remittance requirements.
Common mistakes
- Entering 0.0725 when the field expects 7.25
- Applying tax to the LAWNSNOWAPP fee
- Changing tax instead of adjusting the service price
