Customer Credit Balance

Available account credit recorded for the customer, such as an overpayment, refund credit, gift value, or approved manual promotion.

Why LAWNSNOWAPP asks for it

It lets the business carry value forward and reduce a customer's future amount due.

How LAWNSNOWAPP uses it

LAWNSNOWAPP applies no more than the available credit to selected completed work before calculating the remaining amount, tax, and separate fees.

Example

A $25 credit applied to $75 of selected work leaves $50 of service amount before applicable tax and separate fees.

If you leave it blank

No customer credit is available for the invoice workflow.

If you change it later

Future invoice preparation uses the revised available balance; finalized invoices and settled payments remain stored as issued.

Financial, compliance, or safety note

Record the business reason for manual credits in the appropriate accounting or audit workflow.

Common mistakes

  • Using the field as a borrowing limit
  • Including sales tax, the LAWNSNOWAPP fee, or merchant processing cost in the credit amount
