Programs · Field Guide
Optional Markup
An additional amount or percentage applied to a program line item before the final proposal total is calculated.
Why LAWNSNOWAPP asks for it
It lets the company account for overhead or margin without changing the underlying quantity entry.
How LAWNSNOWAPP uses it
LAWNSNOWAPP applies the selected markup type to the line item and includes the result in proposal pricing. Tax and separate fees remain distinct.
Example
A 10% markup on a $100 line adds $10 before applicable tax and separate fees.
If you leave it blank
No markup is added to the line.
If you change it later
The draft proposal recalculates; finalized or accepted documents retain their stored pricing.
Common mistakes
- Using markup to enter sales tax
- Applying both amount and percentage markup to the same line
