Customers · Field Guide
Customer Status
The customer's current business relationship status, such as active or former customer.
Why LAWNSNOWAPP asks for it
Status helps the Owner distinguish current work from records retained for history and follow-up.
How LAWNSNOWAPP uses it
LAWNSNOWAPP uses status when presenting and filtering customer operations; changing it does not erase the customer or historical records.
Example
Use Former Customer when service has ended but records must remain available.
If you leave it blank
The customer uses the existing or default active status.
If you change it later
Operational lists may change while jobs, invoices, and audit history remain available.
Common mistakes
- Deleting history to represent an ended relationship
- Marking a customer inactive to pause only one service
